Birds On A Birdhouse
Christmas 2015 and I received a birdhouse as a part of my Christmas present. Just a birdhouse, plain and unpainted. I got to paint it any way I see fit and for some reason, I decided to paint birds on the birdhouse.
A little unconventional I felt, but I searched online for cute birds and started to sketch the birds I wanted on my design. One was of a cockatiel which I once had as a pet.
I did my sketch and decided to transfer the design onto the birdhouse.
I still wanted to make the house a house but the birds sit outside of it, and all around. After laying down the design I drew in windows and painted to roof and corner details.
I then painted the color of the birdhouse, then the details of the birds.
Once everything was painted and finished, the final step was to clear coat and protect what's been painted.
