Making: Kairi's Keyblade with Pearler Beads

I am a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, when I started to play with Pearler beads, I started to question how FAR can I take this craft? Besides being able to make something 2D and something 3D. I found the best reference online which was an original keyblade concept art design which I worked from. Also referencing other rendered versions of this keyblade.

Turning this into a 3D keyblade was not an easy task. A lot of Math went into finding out the circumference of cylinders for such things as the handle and the keyblade itself. Figuring out how to heat and roll and join them again was also another task. I think I did a pretty good job making it come to life from the concept art. The cutest thing I felt to create was perhaps the Paopu fruit that hands at the end of her keyblade chain.

When finished I really felt this was my largest 'fan art' creation I've ever made.
